Prem Ratan Dhan Payo (English: Received a Treasure of Love) is an upcoming 2015 Indian family drama film,[2][3] directed by Sooraj R. Barjatya.[4] It stars Salman Khan and Sonam Kapoor in lead roles, with Neil Nitin Mukesh and Swara Bhaskar in supporting roles.[5][6] Principal photography began in June 2014 and the film is scheduled for release in Diwali 2015.[7][8]

Development

Salman Khan has already been approached for male lead. Sonakshi Sinha and Deepika Padukone was considered to do a female lead but Salman wants Sooraj R. Barjatya to get new female lead so Sooraj had signed Sonam Kapoor.

Principal photography

In a month of July it had begun a shooting in a form of Mahurat. Salman Khan will be seen playing double role, he goes for traditional looking in his first role and learns sword fighting, he learnt boxing for his second role. He will play a role of an ideal king who is loved and worshipped by subjects in his first role and on second role there will be a role of boxer. Sonam Kapoor will play a role of princess and during the shooting Sonam Kapoor has shared her experience with Salman Khan. Armaan Kohli will play a in antagonist role for the 2nd role of Salman Khan. Neil Nitin Mukesh will play a role of vengeful prince and step-brother who is considered in negative shades as for the antagonist role for 1st role of Salman Khan. The film was being shot ND Studios, Karjat near Mumbai, through August 2014, For The Next Schedule They Will Moved to Gujarat in Vadodara City At Laxmi Villas Palace.

Soundtrack

The soundtrack of Prem Ratan Dhan Payo is composed by Himesh Reshammiya and the lyrics will be penned by Irshad Kamil. The soundtrack will consist of 9 songs. The songs will have an Indian traditional feel to them as the rest of Barjayata's films. Initially Sooraj Barjayata wanted his regular composers Raam-Laxman or Ravindra Jain to compose the music of the film but it was Salman Khan who recommended Himesh Reshammiya for the music of the film the producer finalised the composer after having a music sitting with him as he liked the compositions. The composer has clarified that he will go back to his traditional roots to compose the music of the film and singer Kumar Sanu will be singing first time for Neil Nitin Mukesh.
