Plot
The story revolves around an aspiring writer (played by Siddiqui) who travels all the way from
Lucknow to
Mumbai to be a part of films.

Casting
Nawazuddin Siddiqui was first selected to play the lead role in the film.

During the launch of the film, director Pushpendra Misra said that, "I
wanted to make this movie only with him (Siddiqui) in the role."
[8] Anurag Kashyap was also roped in to play a lazy police officer in the film.

Huma Qureshi and
Richa Chaddha would also play pivotal roles in the film.

Qureshi's presence in the film is not confirmed yet but Chaddha has
confirmed her presence in the film. She will play a cameo role in the
film.

Filming
The film was mainly shot in
Ahraura in
Mirzapur district, near
Varanasi.

shot almost the entire film, except for few portions and the last few
portions will be shot in Mumbai."
